Dear Readers,
First of all, thank you-truly-for picking up this book.
Whether you're here out of curiosity or deep interest, I welcome you with a heart full of gratitude. Your presence means more than words can express.
This book is incredibly special to me because it's not just a story-it is my first novel. A dream I've nurtured in silence, with trembling hands and a racing heart. A journey of love, pain, courage, and a voice I never thought I'd share.
If you're reading this right now, you're part of that journey-and I can't thank you enough.
Before we dive into this journey together, there are some important things I want to share with you.
This book is entirely fictional. Every character, every location, every incident is a product of my imagination. Yet, even in fiction, some stories are born from deep truths, from emotions we've all felt, or from the pain some have silently carried. This is one such story.
I also want to humbly say that English is not my first language. You may come across grammatical errors or sentence structures that aren't perfect. I request you to look beyond the technicalities and focus on the soul of the story-the emotions, the struggles, the silent screams, and the fragile hopes it carries.
Now, let's talk about the word that forms the title of this book:
"Courtesan."
I know. That one word is enough to make some people uncomfortable, might raise their eyebrows, judgmental, or even dismissive. It carries weight. It carries centuries of societal shame, assumptions, and silence.
But have you ever wondered why?
Why does society brand these women with shame without ever hearing their stories?
Why does no one ask how they got there?
Why does no one wonder what dreams they once held before being turned into objects of desire?
This story attempts to explore that silence.
It seeks to tell the story of a woman who did not choose her path-but walked it anyway, with grace, with pain, with dignity, and sometimes with rage.
It is a story of identity, injustice, brokenness, survival, and unexpected love.
If the title alone makes you uncomfortable, I understand.
But I also request-just once-read her story before you decide what she deserves.
And I am not a professional storyteller or any experienced author.
If still you are not comfortable reading my book, then i request you to drop the idea of reading my book further.

Trigger Warning: Please Read Carefully Before Proceeding
This novel contains heavy and sensitive themes. I believe it's important to be transparent, so here are the potential triggers that appear throughout the story:
Child Abuse / Child Trafficking: The horrors that rob children of their innocence too soon.
Death / Murder / Suicide: This story does not shy away from the reality of pain and loss.
Violence: There are intense scenes of violence (not between the main leads).
Sexual Assault / Marital Rape: This includes depictions of non-consensual intimacy (not committed by the male lead).
Human Trafficking References: The dark underbelly of society is not ignored.
Confinement / Caging: Some characters are held against their will, symbolizing the loss of agency.
Dubious Consent: Emotional manipulation and blurred lines of consent are explored.
Strong Language: Reflecting the rawness and harshness of the world depicted.
Severe Blood / Complex PTSD: Trauma is not beautified here; it is shown in all its painful truth.
Female Foeticide: A cruel reality still existing in many places, woven into the backdrop of the story.
Please proceed only if you feel emotionally safe to do so. Your well-being comes first.

A Note on Creative References
As the story unfolds in later chapters, I may draw inspiration from certain scenes in movies or novels. If I ever incorporate such elements, I will clearly credit the source out of respect for the original creators.
However, I kindly request that readers do not jump to conclusions or make accusations if they find any unintentional similarities. Storytelling is a vast, shared world-and sometimes themes overlap unknowingly.
That said, being wrongly accused of plagiarism, especially when I've poured my heart and soul into creating something original, would be deeply disheartening and unfair.
So I ask-very humbly-please approach this book with an open heart and trust the integrity behind its creation.

A Note from the Author's Heart;
This book is for the unheard.
For the girl who was never asked what she wanted.
For the woman who was taught that love is earned through sacrifice.
For the soul who was judged without ever being seen.
For the courtesan-fictional or real-who lives in the fringes of society but holds poetry in her heart.
And it is for you, dear reader, if you've ever felt unseen, unloved, or underestimated.
I wrote this story not to glorify pain, but to give voice to resilience.
To show that even those who are pushed to the edge of society can still feel, dream, fight, and love deeply.
And sometimes, even find someone who sees beyond their scars.

♡ Dedication ♡
To all the girls who are left behind, forgotten, or silenced-
Just because they were born girls.
To those who were never taught to dream because life decided for them too soon.
To those who were passed from one hand to another without ever being asked what they wanted.
To those whose "yes" was taken for granted, and whose "no" was ignored.
To those still judged by their clothes, their past, or their choices.
You are not a burden.
You are not weak.
You are not what they say you are.
You are a story waiting to be heard.
And I see you.
Here's to the girls who have stopped believing in love-
May you find someone who brings your heart back to life.
May you realize your worth was never tied to someone else's perception.
And to all the empowered girls who still dare to hope-
This story is for you.
To be continued.........
